I continue to reinvest in performance and its expansive possibilities. I'm interested in the relationship between the performer and their body and the negotiation that happens in the embodiment of ideas. I believe in improvisation as a performance form – as composing in the moment. I approach set choreography similarly by finding newness in the known and noting the transformation that results from repetition. My fascination with performance theory, improvisation, social dance, and the interactions between will steer my ensuing research in the dance field.
